A 15-day Basic Sign Language Training was conducted at the Kathmandu Association of Deaf for
parents of deaf children and project members of Swasthya Sewa Sang Nepal. The training was
facilitated by Krishna Gajurel and Prakash Maharjan, Sign Language Interpreter.
A total of 16 participants attended the training.
The training aimed to improve communication between parents and deaf children by developing
basic Nepali Sign Language skills and improving understanding of Deaf culture, communication
methods, and inclusive family practices.
